that's me in the corner trying to keep an eye on you
Hey there, I'm Yiannis Yiasaris.I hail from the beautiful land of Greece but decided to move my antics to Australia back in 2001. Fast forward to 2013, and I stumbled upon my passion for photography. I quickly discovered that street photography was my jam, capturing the pure essence of people and their surroundings in candid moments.
My work has been published in all sorts of places: books, magazines, TV and radio stations, and even street photography blogs. Not to brag, but I've got a few impressive achievements under my belt. For starters, I was crowned Best Black & White Photographer of the Year in 2016 and I was a finalist at the Aussie Street Photography Festival, as well as multiple Miami Street Photography Festivals. I was also a finalist in some fancy-pants events like the Mobile Photography Awards, and the Italian and Istanbul Street Photography Festivals, and in 2021, I made the cut for both the Fujifilm Moment Street Photography Awards and The Wall 2021.
My work has been shown in exhibitions across the globe, from Melbourne and Sydney to Miami, Milan, and Istanbul. I'm a proud member of TTL Collective and Little Box Collective, where I continue to take shoots of the beauty of everyday life. And when I'm not behind the camera, you can find me indulging in my other passion: drinking coffee.
So, there you have it.
